FACTORY TOUR

A unique chance to learn exactly how LEGO bricks are made - from the raw materials to the perfect finished product with close-ups of all the manufacturing stages, with machines, animated workers and sound effects.

DRAGON RIDE

Climb aboard the giant green dragon for a journey of twists and turns through our medieval castle. Watch out for the moving LEGO models - drunken monks, cooking in the kitchen and watch the royal banquet.

ADVENTURE TRAIL

Get your trekking boots on for your quest through the jungle with our Johnny Thunder. Meet the curious characters and creatures along the way and take the quiz card challenge competition.

MINILAND

Think small - see Chicago in miniature - and perfect in every detail. Made from nearly 1.5 million LEGO bricks, you’ll enjoy a day in the life of the city and its inhabitants - all model citizens of course! The Sears Tower used 190,000 bricks and weighs over 200 pounds!

BUILD AND TEST

Use your imagination and get creative with thousands of LEGO bricks in the Build + Test Center! All ages welcome - and parents can join in too! And after the challenge of building your creations, there’s the added thrill and excitement of seeing just how well they perform!

The Schaumburg Park District is sponsoring their Holiday Wonderland Festival at the Community Recreation Center located at 505 N. Springinsguth Rd in Schaumburg on Saturday December 13th from 12:00-3:00 PM. Come out and enjoy games, crafts, toys, entertainment and prizes. Other activities include caroling, kiddy train rides, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, concessions and much more.

Pre-registration (Deadline Dec. 12) cost is $5 per child. Day of event cost is $7. Parents and children under 1 are FREE.  Call 847- 490-7020 for more information.

Schaumburg’s Septemberfest 2008 Is Right Around The Corner!

Residents from the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois are about to enjoy the 38th year of Septemberfest, an annual festival in Schaumburg.

Septemberfest 2008 is coming up this weekend, and is expected to draw a crowd. After glancing at the Entertainment Schedule, i’m sure it will be fun.

For those who are new to Schaumburg, Septemberfest is a tradition that takes place over Labor Day Weekend, featuring a 3-day festival of food, fun and famous performers just to mention the basics! Best of all, it is FREE! Here is a short summary of what to expect for Septemberfest 2008:
